OPEC Fund for Economic Development (OFID)

The OPEC Fund for Economic Development (OFID) is a Ksh 1.5 Billion partnership project; aimed at implementing electrification projects in Off-grid areas in Kenya, for purposes of enhancing electricity access. The scope involves the Connection of 33 market centres and households in off-grid regions to electricity. The counties that have benefited include Mandera, Marsabit, Turkana, Wajir, Isiolo, Laikipia and Samburu.
