Matching Fund Facility

The Corporation collaborates with National Government Constituency Development Fund (N-CDF) to implement projects.  The Matching Fund facility; also dubbed ‘ a shilling for a shilling’, is a programme where the Corporation matches contributions from constituencies and counties to a maximum of Kshs. 5million per constituency for implementation of rural electrification projects in priority areas. 

About Matching Fund Facility

This is a participatory innovative approach in financing community projects. This is through a cost sharing arrangement with the National Government Constituency Development Fund (N-CDF), county governments and other stakeholders.

The Matching Fund facility; also dubbed ‘a shilling for a shilling’, is aimed at supplementing the traditional source of funds. Under the program, the Corporation matches contributions from constituencies and counties to a maximum of Kshs. 5million per constituency for implementation of rural electrification projects in priority areas.
