The Energy Centres facilitate the adoption of the following biogas technologies:
- Fixed dome Biogas with a minimum size of 10m3 for a household of 6-8 people
- Floating drum design with a minimum size of 10m3 for a household of 6-8 people
Promoting the adoption and use of biogas is accomplished through:
Types of stoves produced and sold at the Energy Centres
- Kenya Ceramic Jiko (KCJ) charcoal stoves of various sizes (10”, 11”, 12”, 13”, 14”, 15”, 16” diameter)
- Uhai Charcoal Stoves (Improved KCJ) of various sizes (10”, 11”, 12”, 13”, 14”, 15”, 16” diameter)
- Maendeleo Stove (firewood stove) 14” diameter
- Fireless Cookers sizes 18”, 20” and 24” diameter
The Energy Centres produce seedlings for free distribution to public institutions and also for sale to individual clients.
